At the heart of Mumbai-based Barcom Industries’s label printing and manufacturing facility in Vasai East is a portfolio of Mark Andy machines that has just been expanded with two new Pro Series label presses. “We have just completed the installations of two Mark Andy Pro Series label presses from Flexo Image Graphics (FIG), which we booked last year and eagerly awaited,” says Prasanna Sahu, managing director, Barcom Industries.

Sahu adds, “Additions of the two new Mark Andy Pro Series label presses to our existing machine portfolio have set to improve print quality and productivity tremendously. We are forever grateful to FIG for the machines they supply and their committed post-sales service support. Our partnership with them dates back to the very beginning of our business in 2002. In a way, we kick-started our journey with a Mark Andy press from FIG.”

FIG, which currently represents a handful of major international brands of flexo presses & associated equipment in the Indian subcontinent, started business as a Mark Andy distributor, and Barcom was among the early customers then. Gourav Roy, director, Flexo Image Graphics says Barcom has so far made notable investments in multiple Mark Andy presses from FIG, among which the most recent installations of the two Pro Series label presses back to back are truly remarkable.

As Sahu recollects, it’s a Mark Andy 830 that marked Barcom’s first tryst with the brand Mark Andy, followed by a string of Mark Andy 2200 and Performance Series P5 presses, one after another. When it comes to its ever-expanding client base, Barcom has been working for a league of reputed brands across the key sectors like FMCG, beverage, pharmaceutical, vehicular maintenance, etc.

“Beyond the domestic market, we have expanded our client base into the international market too,” says Sahu. “We always endeavor to maintain quality printing and productivity for meeting our clients’ ever increasing demands for premium print outputs in quick turnaround times. For this, we persistently upgrade our machine portfolio which has now added the two new Mark Andy Pro Series label presses.”

Sahu further states that the two new Mark Andy Pro Series label presses have built up new confidence and capability for them to liven up ‘labels’ to another level. In addition to the family of Mark Andy presses, Barcom’s production facility is equipped with other machines from FIG, which include Rotoflex inspection slitter rewinders, Rotoflex HSI label inspection system with 100% Nikka L1 inspection cameras, and Rotoflex bi-directional pharma inspection machine.

FIG keeps expanding its installation base of Mark Andy presses across the subcontinent with loyal and longstanding clients like Barcom constantly investing in multiple units. Customer Support Department of FIG connects its head office in Delhi with Mumbai and Chennai branches to serve clients across the country. In addition to Mark Andy, other prominent brands in the current product line of FIG include Rhyguan, Luster, Rotoflex, Presstek, Maxcess, KDS, Eson Flexible Dies, DYM Machinery, and XSYS.
