AVT boosts inspection efficiency at the Xeikon Café

The AVT automatic 100% print inspection solution will serve a broad range of digital print production in end-to-end workflow at the Xeikon Café Packaging Innovations 2017 (www.xeikoncafe.com), set for 28 to 31 March. Live label print jobs will be verified from setup through printing and finishing with the Helios Turbo HD cutting-edge machine vision technology and image processing capabilities.

Recognized as an industry-leading label & narrow web inspection system, Helios Turbo HD is designed to boost inspection efficiency and pave the way towards the future of print inspection and process control with advanced algorithms designed to detect any type of defect. During the Xeikon Café, the system’s high resolution and high speed that ensures print quality, data validity, barcodes and numbers tracking, as well as DeltaE colour monitoring – all in one pass, will be highlighted.

“Our main drive at the Xeikon Café is to promote the concept of preventive and on-time quality assurance and control, using smart, automatic, cutting-edge inspection technology,” comments David Naisby, AVT business development director. “The open dialogue structure of the event provides a valuable opportunity to increase our exposure and connect with new prospects and existing customers, while promoting the importance of in line quality print inspection and process control on the press and not downstream in finishing.

Changing the face of quality assurance and process control
Helios Turbo HD guarantees unrivalled digital print performance, quality and reliability. Uniquely designed for short run print jobs, the innovative inspection solution enhances the entire print production process. The ultra-powerful platform supports current and future converting equipment, regardless of machine speed, width or technology, to deliver quality results – every time. Helios offers a wide range of optional, add-on modules that enable the system to meet and exceed customers’ ever-growing needs and requirements.

Starting from job verification to the approved digital PDF file, to detection of early-stage process errors, monitoring colours and repeat length, variable print data verification, and a complete workflow solution to downstream finishing, AVT delivers a winning platform for digital and conventional printers and converters. At the Xeikon Café, the Helios Turbo HD will be integrated on the Xeikon 3500 in live label production of wine and spirit labels and food label production.
