Arihant Printers, based in Kolkata, is well-known for its exceptional quality printing and standout products. The company has earned recognition as an early adopter of cutting-edge machinery in East India. Its latest addition, the 7-color Komori Lithrone GL40 Advance equipped with UV and IR curing technology, is now operational at its newly inaugurated packaging facility, marking a significant milestone as the first of its kind in East India.

Arihant Printers has a history of bringing firsts to East India’s printing landscape. Among them is the 6-color Komori UV press with coater, which the company introduced to the region in 2015. Reflecting on the company’s journey, Sunny Jain, director of Arihant Printers, says, “My father, late Shri Dilip Kumar Jain, began our printing business in 1980 under a different name. Arihant Printers was established in 2006 with our expansive engagement in commercial printing and packaging.”

He adds, “Today, my brother Sandeep Jain and I manage the operations at Arihant Printers. Recently, we expanded our production capabilities with the launch of a new 1 lakh sqft plant dedicated exclusively to packaging printing and conversion. This new plant now houses the latest Lithrone GL40 press, complementing our existing 2 lakh sqft facility.”

Explaining their continued preference for Komori machines, Jain says, “We take pride in the fact that our association with Komori dates back to the very beginning of our journey. Our decision to invest in the second brand-new Komori press, the Lithrone GL40 Advance, was largely driven by the consistent support and cooperation we have received from the company over the years.

“Since the launch of Komori India as a subsidiary of Tokyo-headquartered Komori Corporation in the country, we have observed a tremendous improvement in the company’s operations. Its service engineers are well trained and reliable – we have never faced any major issues or felt a lack of support. Komori has proven to be a dependable brand for us, which is why we have continued to invest in its machines over the years.”

Jain continues, “The Lithrone GL40 Advance at our new facility marks a significant step forward in our packaging journey. We have developed several sample prints on this new press, and the feedback from clients has been very encouraging. Equipped with UV and IR curing technology, the machine is highly efficient. Since we began full-scale operations, our production volume has nearly doubled. We are optimistic about the future and plan to add more such presses to our packaging plant.”

With a team of over 120 skilled professionals in printing and production, Arihant Printers continues to enhance its capabilities through regular upgrades and additions to its machinery. Jain mentions that the company has also strengthened its pre-press and post-press departments with the installation of advanced equipment, including a Kodak CtP system, Maxima die-cutter, and several other automated finishing machines.
