Ahmedabad-based prepress specialist expands capacity and capabilities with new facility, colour management solutions and larger-format Flexcel NX platemaking.

Akshar NX Digital has invested in a new Flexcel NX 5080 System from Miraclon to serve the growing flexible packaging market. The installation is scheduled for January 2027 at a new location, as part of the company’s wider geographical expansion strategy.

The new system will complement the Flexcel NX 4260 System currently operating at Akshar NX Digital’s existing Ahmedabad location. The company is also investing in color management solutions, reflecting a renewed focus on building the prepress capabilities needed to support customers in the flexible packaging segment.

Ahead of the installation, Akshar NX Digital has installed a 5080-format processing and finishing line with LED exposure, which is said to provide increased productivity while enhancing consistency in plate production.
