Acme Rolltech, India’s first indigenous anilox roll manufacturing company showcased its latest engraving technology Advanced Channel Engraving (ACE) at Plastindia 2023. ACE is a special structure that helps in providing HD printing, and improved ink release. It also addresses certain issues that are faced by flexo printers including pinholing and mottling specifically with UV inks by reducing those significantly. ACE also helps in producing precise halftones and increases ink efficiency by delivering better depth with low ink consumption. The company also displayed its sleeves for CI flexo and manual cleaning solutions.

“These are a few solutions we are showcasing to our Indian customers which are altogether new for India because we are the first and the only Indian company that manufactures these products in India. We are the first and only Indian company to manufacture ceramic anilox rolls and sleeves in India,” said Sandeep Sharma, director, Acme Rolltech.

The company also promoted its Refurbishment Programme at the event. “We run a very successful refurbishment program as a sustainability initiative. Under the Refurbishment Programme, we restore and refresh the old rolls lying at the dump yard of our customers.”

“This is our first Plastindia. In the past four years, we have created a solid customer base and reputation in the Indian as well as overseas markets. We are now exporting to more than 20 countries catering to varied industries such as narrow web label, wide web flexo, stack flexo, CI flexo, specialty coating applications, corrugation and offset – thanks to our ability to produce rolls up to 4.5 meters in length and 600 mm in diameter,” said Sharma.

Established in 2018, Acme Rolltech started commercial production in 2019. Sharma shared that the company is growing at a CAGR of around 28% for the past four years. “We would like to continue the growth momentum in India and at the same time, we are expanding our wings for the export market. We are already exporting our products to 20 countries. After this exhibition, we are immediately flying to Bangkok to participate at Labelexpo Bangkok since ASEAN is a big market for us – we are expanding really well there,” Sharma said.
