At Plastindia 2023, Yansefu Inks and Coatings displayed its cutting-edge products and technological advancements in solventless adhesives, water-based inks, and adhesives, as well as LED coatings. The company also highlighted its food-safe products to visiting customers and brand owners at its stand.

A leading innovator in the field of toluene-free inks, Yansefu displayed its popular Sarjolam Plus and Sarjocolor inks at the Plastindia 2023 exhibition. “These inks have received widespread recognition for their exceptional print quality and compliance with local and global food safety regulations. We are pleased with the high level of interest and the large turnout at our stand,” said Jitendra Sharma, CEO, Yansefu Inks and Coatings.

Neelakamal Mohapatra, president-R&D, Yansefu Inks and Coatings, said, “Solventless adhesives have numerous sustainability advantages in flexible packaging, including a lower carbon footprint, decreased waste, and increased safety for workers and consumers. These benefits make solventless adhesives a highly desirable choice for those seeking to make their packaging operations greener and more sustainable. Yansefu has a comprehensive range of solvent-free lamination adhesive grades, from general to high performance, available to meet the needs of its customers, even for boiling and retort applications.”

Speaking about sustainability initiatives, Sharma said, “Sustainability is at the core of who we are. The company has seen a significant increase in its production of water-based adhesives and inks, doubling the production within just one year. Water-based inks and adhesives have a lower impact on the environment compared to solvent-based alternatives, as they do not emit harmful VOCs into the air, reducing air pollution and preserving indoor air quality. Additionally, water is a renewable resource, making it a more sustainable choice for ink and adhesive production, and the production of water-based inks and adhesives typically requires less energy, leading to a reduced carbon footprint.”

Yansefu has commercialized LED curable coatings with numerous benefits over traditional UV-cured coatings. These LED coatings cure faster, use less energy, are safer, have a lower environmental impact, and have a longer lifespan. These advantages lead to increased productivity, lower energy costs, reduced exposure to harmful UV radiation, and reduced waste.

According to Sharma, Yansefu has made significant advancements in the field of inks, adhesives, and coatings, which have resulted in numerous patents being filed. The company’s both water-based and solvent-based CIFlexo inks have been gaining popularity due to their cost-effectiveness. The laminates with CIFlexo inks require less energy and have a lower environmental impact, leading to a lower overall cost of use compared to traditional inks. This makes them an attractive choice for organizations looking to be more environmentally responsible, cost-efficient and food safe.
