Vimal Flexoprint, a subsidiary of Vertex Graphics Process, has recently completed the installation of a cutting-edge Nilpeter FB Line flexo press. Vertex Graphics Process, a distinguished prepress establishment founded in 2000, has cultivated a 23-year legacy of delivering excellence within the printing industry, underscored by demonstrated quality and technological prowess. The Gujarat-based company encompasses other affiliated entities, including Vimal Print Express, which has been a consistent provider of resources for flex banner and vinyl printing since 2013.

In September 2022, three siblings – Dhaval Kamani, Ankit Kamani, and Prit Kamani – joined forces to establish Vimal Flexoprint. The strategic direction of this initiative was meticulously shaped under the guidance of Jitubhai Kamani’s expertise. The overarching goal of this enterprise was to herald a new era of distinction in label production, setting forth novel benchmarks for premium label solutions.

Ankit Kamani underscores this vision, highlighting, “Our unwavering commitment to achieving excellence acts as the driving force propelling us to create labels that not only capture attention but also elevate the presence of brands in ways that are both unprecedented and unparalleled.”

With years of industry expertise, Vimal Flexoprint positions itself at the forefront of advanced label printing technology. The team of adept professionals ensures that each label is meticulously crafted, embodying precision and fine craftsmanship. Vimal Flexoprint predominantly caters to a diverse range of markets, including but not limited to food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, bath and personal care, automobile industries, agrochemicals, pesticides and agriculture, as well as home care products.

Elaborating on the rationale behind the investment in the Nilpeter FB Line, Kamani says, “We meticulously explore the entire spectrum from raw materials to the finishing process, consistently achieving remarkable outcomes. Given that labels serve as pivotal elements of any product, our commitment is to ensure the brand’s messaging remains steadfast despite varying weather conditions, temperatures, and even chemical extremes.

“Hence, the advantages and features we were prioritizing included compelling performance within today’s fiercely competitive landscape, the enhancements offered by Nilpeter to bolster our capacity for improved outcomes, the flexibility of in-line converting, and our strategic investment in contemporary flexographic print technology.”

Elevating production capacity and efficiency
“The installation of the Nilpeter label flexo printing press marks a transformative phase for our company, elevating our production capacity and efficiency to unparalleled levels. With the Nilpeter label flexo press, we have embraced an entirely new realm of productivity. Its innovative features and state-of-the-art technology have empowered us to manage elevated volumes effortlessly, effectively meeting the increasing expectations of our esteemed clientele. With our augmented production capacity, we can now adeptly address substantial orders while upholding both quality standards and timely deliveries. In the label printing sector, time holds utmost significance, and the Nilpeter FB Line has transformed our approach to turnaround times,” says Kamani.

Utilizing the automated procedures and flawless registration capabilities of the Nilpeter FB Line, Vimal Flexoprint has significantly shortened setup durations, thus reducing gaps of inactivity between tasks. This increased efficiency has aided the company in achieving faster project conclusions, accelerating the introduction of labels to the market in an unprecedented manner.

Trends, sustainability and challenges
Discussing the surge in demand from businesses for customization and personalized labels, Kamani says, “In a landscape where there’s a multitude of possibilities in terms of shapes, sizes, and materials, our bespoke printed labels play a pivotal role in enhancing product visibility on the shelf and driving purchases. Across diverse industries, we possess the proficiency to ensure that every product commands attention with labels that encapsulate the ideal appearance and resilience. Our commitment to industry-leading turnaround times of 3-5 days ensures that our customers receive their labels promptly.”

Speaking about sustainability, Kamani says, “Our production ethos is firmly rooted in sustainability. Vimal Flexoprint consistently seeks out biodegradable and compostable materials for employment, aligning with our commitment to eco-friendliness. We conscientiously ensure that the adhesives employed contain no animal-derived components. We recognize the pivotal balance between consumer demands, packaging functionality, and our brand’s commitment to sustainability.”

Kamani highlighted the diverse environmental regulations across different regions and the cost-to-benefit considerations for smaller manufacturers. There’s a noticeable increase in consumer interest towards materials that are biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Production facilities and printing centers strive to maintain a balance between packaging costs and market competitiveness. They aim to minimize the impact of packaging expenses on product pricing in order to retain their market share. As a result, they often opt for cost-effective materials that might not be environmentally friendly or sustainable. Nevertheless, there is a disparity in environmental regulations for packaging and labeling between countries. This discrepancy poses a difficulty for companies in adapting their choice of labeling materials to align with the specific regulations enforced in each region.
