UPM Raflatac renamed to UPM Adhesive Materials

-

UPM Raflatac has officially been renamed to UPM Adhesive Materials, effective 12 June 2025. The name change marks a strategic shift for the company, aiming to accelerate growth beyond its core label materials business and strengthen its footprint in graphics solutions and specialty tapes.

While the new business area name reflects the broader scope of operations, Raflatac will remain as a leading global product brand within the label materials segment.

Tim Kirchen, executive vice president, UPM Adhesive Materials, said, “The new Business Area name reflects our expanded portfolio and highlights the value we deliver to our customers through adhesive material performance.”

Despite the branding change, the company assured that there will be no impact on legal entity names, invoicing details, or product information. Over the coming weeks, UPM’s updated name and branding will gradually appear across all platforms and communications. Future email communications will also reflect the new name – UPM Adhesive Materials – in the sender’s details.
