Uflex displays its latest products and developments at Indiapack Pacprocess exhibition

At the Indiapack Pacprocess exhibition, which took place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 26 to 28 October 2017, Uflex was present with all its major business verticals displaying their range of innovative solutions.

Uflex’sEngineering business displayed its linear fill seal machine at the show. The machine is used for filling and sealing of any liquid, powder and granules in pre-formed pouches and is particularly popular with the Ready to Eat segment players. “The unique feature of the machine is that you can pack for three-four dozing,” said Mukesh Mohan Agarwal of Uflex. The flexible packaging business of Uflex displayed its myriad converted products. Most of the products showcased at the exhibition were in different formats and with re-closablity options. “We are showcasing various flexible packaging products that are unique in terms of aesthetics, functionality, barrier properties, anti-counterfeiting properties and sustainability,” said Anup Kansal, president, flexible packaging business, Uflex.

The holography business of Uflex displayed its range of anti-counterfeiting products including fresnel lens and sterling lenses. The holography business was started by Uflex with two clear objectives – first, to help the brand owners to improve the packaging self appeal and aesthetic, and second, to stop counterfeiting of the products especially in automobiles, pharma and FMCG segments.

Uflex’s fresnel and sterling lenses are based on very interesting concepts achieved through technology tie-ups with American companies and bringing it to India. “Most of the brand owners in India are aware of these lenses as they keep visiting exhibitions and trade shows abroad and have seen their counterparts using it in other countries. “Brand owners in India are looking for big reliable suppliers like Uflex as they don’t want to depend on importing these value-added brand protection solutions,” said CG Ramesh, general manager of Holography business, Uflex.

The tube vertical of Uflex displayed its wide range of flexi-tubes. “Our flexi-tubes provide a complete 360 degree solution which general lamitubes don’t. With different anti-counterfeiting features, our flexi-tubes come with all metallic effects and are aesthetically very appealing. All these tubes are manufactured using reverse printing technology on gravure presses which provide the best of half tone images,” said Abhimanyu Singh, product development, tube vertical of packaging business, Uflex.

Uflex also displayed its Flex Safepack for cement at the exhibition. “The biggest advantage of the Flex Safepack is that it is multi-layered and moisture resistant in nature. “In developing the DuPont Award winning Flex SafePack, Uflex addressed two conflicting requirements: providing de-aeration holes required for air to escape during filling and prohibiting moisture from entering into the bags during storage and distribution. Uflex has been able to achieve this by producing a hermetically sealed flat-bottom woven polypropylene (WPP) bag. The bag laminate structure is put through a special nano embossing and finishing operation after extrusion coating the inner surface of the bag. SafePack can be printed with high quality graphics comprising up to 10 colors using high-definition reverse rotogravure printing imparting a premium look to a commodity product,” said, Paridhi Mishra, assistant manager, sales at Uflex.
