Trelleborg and INK Maloberti offer metal decorating solutions at Metpack 2017

-

Trelleborg is joining forces with sector specialist manufacturers INK Maloberti and PCO Printing Chemicals, part of the Printgraph Group, at Metpack 2017, 2 – 6 May, Essen, Germany. In addition to offering a complete range of offset blanket solutions, inks and chemicals for metal decorating applications, the three companies will launch several products at the event for the international metal packaging industry.

Matthias Horn, Regional Sales Director for the EMEA market for Trelleborg’s printing solutions, says: “It’s an exciting partnership and Metpack 2017 provides the ideal platform to demonstrate how effectively our products complement each other. Technical experts from the three manufacturers work closely together to ensure complete compatibility and effectiveness between their products. Vulcan is a well established offset blanket brand in the metal decorating sector and we expect there to be a great deal of interest in our industry-leading UV blankets and the various new solutions we have for the latest energy-efficient UV technologies.”

INK Maloberti is a family-run business that has been serving metal decorating printers for the last 70 years, with around 80% of its output today going to this specific market. The company exports half of the inks made at its Milan factory and at Metpack 2017 it will show two new inks within its Sintometal thermal, UV and LE-UV ranges.

Alessandro Maloberti, INK Maloberti Quality Assurance Manager, says: “Sintometal UV and TC are external metal decoration inks for general line and food packaging, designed for high speed metal printing presses including those operating low energy curing systems.

“The inks provide a range of benefits, from excellent printability to high color rendering and good ink wet-on-wet printing. The latest versions, with improved viscosity stability and low tack, are suitable for all external metal surfaces including tin plate, TFS and aluminium. This is also the case with our more recently developed Sintometal LE low energy thermal curing inks.”

PCO Europe B.V., part of the Printgraph Group, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of chemicals for the printing industry. Printgraph offers Trelleborg’s premium blankets Vulcan, Rollin and Printec throughout Italy as well as a unique and professional converting and after sales service.
Roberto Levi, CEO of the Printgraph Group, says: “At Metpack 2017 we will present a new fountain solution for metal decorating applications along with a new wash up for rollers and blankets used with UV inks. Cold UV and LED UV inks are the future in this sector. It is vital to select the correct inks, chemicals and consumables to ensure they are compatible and provide the print quality required without damaging press components.”

Visitors to booth 1D51 will be able to speak to key executives and technical experts from all three manufacturers.
