Svgrafix has recently made a substantial investment in state-of-the-art prepress software from Esko, marking another significant milestone in the company’s pursuit of excellence. The acquisition includes ArtPro+ Advance – a next-generation prepress editor; and Imaging Engine Server which is a powerful & reliable RIP software.

Based in Vapi, Gujarat, Svgrafix specializes in the production of digital flexo plates for a variety of flexographic presses, including narrow web, wide web flexo press, and corrugation presses. Established in 2021 as a sister company of Seeta Polymers, a longstanding player in the flexographic trade for over two decades, Svgrafix’s commitment to technological advancement has been ingrained since its inception. Founded by Tangaturai Chettiyar, the company initially operated as a hand-carving rubber block enterprise before embracing modern printing technologies, starting with conventional photopolymer plates.

Regarding the decision to invest in ArtPro+ Advance and Imaging Engine Server, Tangaturai Chettiyar said, “We aimed to minimize unintended errors within our prepress workflow. Recognizing the potential and effectiveness of robust prepress software, we chose to invest in ArtPro and Imaging Engine. The desire to decrease errors and boost productivity in our prepress department drove us to opt for state-of-the-art pre-press software from Esko.”

Chettiyar said that the Imaging Engine Server significantly contributes to the overall efficiency and reliability of Svgrafix’s operations by enhancing the company’s productivity through its screening and calibration tools within the Imaging Engine.

He added, “ArtPro+ represents the epitome of prepress editing technology for packaging. Serving as the native PDF editor, it streamlines the editing process while minimizing inadvertent errors. By harnessing the power of the PDF standard, ArtPro+ equips us with a comprehensive array of editing features, revolutionizing the handling of packaging prepress.”

Currently, Svgrafix operates two flexo plate imaging lines – Thermoflex 42 x 60 installed in 2019 and the Eastcom 50 x 80 installed in 2023, along with plate processing equipment from s.w.a.n. Presently, the company produces 450 square meters of flexo plates per month.

“In my experience, standardization of a prepress workflow is paramount for the growth and sustainability of a flexo trade shop. To achieve this, investing in the right software is essential,” concluded Chettiyar.
