Metpack 2026 will serve as the platform for Soudronic to highlight its latest developments in welding technology for the metal packaging industry. At the exhibition, the company will showcase four of its flagship welders alongside its powder and curing systems, demonstrating solutions designed to enhance efficiency, durability, and operational safety in can production.
A key highlight at the stand will be Soudronic’s approach to modernizing classic welding machines to achieve improved performance and longer service life. Visitors will also be able to experience a live demonstration of mySoudronic, the company’s digital customer portal that offers smart applications designed to support daily production operations.
The welders on display are designed in accordance with food-safety guidelines and combine several proven technologies from across the Soudronic portfolio. According to the company, the systems have been engineered for simplified handling and enhanced production performance. Among the key innovations is a redesigned wire drive system that significantly reduces wire loops and rolls. The machines also feature the Discon+ D-Lock roller head connection, which improves current conduction, minimizes the risk of leaks caused by mishandling, and extends component lifetime. In addition, the welders incorporate a completely redesigned cooling concept with the new Fluid+ closed-loop system, replacing previously separate cooling units, and the Unicontrol 4 control platform.
Among the equipment being presented will be models from the Soucan series, including the Soucan 860 S, which will be showcased alongside the Soucan 660 S. The Soucan 860 S is based on the new Soucan 800/1000 S series and integrates the reliable features associated with the S series body makers. These machines are equipped with the company’s high-performance “letterbox” rounding system and a newly developed extended run-out conveyor that enables stable and precise transport of long aerosol cans.
Soudronic notes that the Soucan welders are built on highly robust and reliable machine structures designed for long-term industrial performance, supporting metal packaging manufacturers seeking consistent production quality and operational reliability.
