Shanghai World of Packaging (swop) will return to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 25 to 27 November 2025, to mark a decade of excellence and shape the future of packaging alongside global industry leaders.

swop 2025: Four transformative enhancements spotlight industry trends

Amid the rapid evolution of the packaging industry, swop 2025 is set for a comprehensive upgrade, featuring four key highlights. From groundbreaking innovations in intelligent manufacturing and the green vision of a dual-carbon future to the diverse exploration of a new FMCG ecosystem and a resolute commitment to reducing food loss, the event promises an exceptional exhibition experience and a fully integrated platform for global business exchange.

Intelligent Manufacturing: swop 2025 introduces featured zone including Intelligent & Automated Packaging Equipment Zone, Food Processing and Intelligent Manufacturing Zone, and Coding, Marking and Inspection Zone. These zones are tailored for companies specializing in intelligent, automated, and digital packaging technologies, providing excellent opportunities for trade and networking. The exhibition will showcase intelligent processing and packaging machinery, packaging container production equipment, primary and secondary packaging systems, cutting-edge automation technologies, system integrators/software providers, and smart factory solutions.

Green Power: With the increasing demand for environmental protection and sustainability in the industry, how to achieve recyclable and sustainable packaging has become a key issue. swop 2025 will introduce the Green Power Zone, presenting a multitude of new sustainable packaging materials, products, and technologies and building a communication platform for the green packaging supply chain.

FMCG Infinity Zone: The upgraded FMCG Infinity Zone at swop 2025 focuses on creating an integrated packaging supply chain ecosystem for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands, inspiring creativity in packaging design. This enhanced platform fosters high-value communication and collaboration, drawing packaging manufacturers and innovative designers to co-develop OEM/ODM/OBM supply chains. Featuring a wide range of exhibits – from packaging products and materials to comprehensive solutions and supply chain services – the pavilion serves the entire FMCG industry, delivering outstanding opportunities for networking and partnership.

Save Food: With global concern over food loss and waste intensifying, packaging plays a pivotal role in minimizing losses across production, storage, transportation, processing, and consumption. swop 2025 will continue its partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations Representation in China, bringing together experts to explore how advanced packaging technologies and materials can reduce food waste.
