Siegwerk receives ‘Highly Commended’ honor at World Sustainability Awards 2025

-

The sustainability team of Siegwerk has been awarded the prestigious ‘Highly Commended’ Sustainability Team Award at the World Sustainability Awards 2025 for its groundbreaking Green-CAT initiative.

The Green-CAT network, managed by Disha, is a global team of sustainability change agents dedicated to embedding sustainable practices across Siegwerk’s sites worldwide. Their work exemplifies how strategic alignment with ESG goals, stakeholder engagement, and measurable outcomes can create meaningful environmental and social change.

The network led by Disha, Strategy and Program Manager – Circular Economy, highlights the power of collaboration, innovation, and global impact in driving sustainability forward. The initiative is more than 5.5 years old and has evolved from making circular economy relevant, to bringing our broader sustainability agenda closer to every Siegwerker. The successful implementation of the flagship projects across global sites are a great example of showcasing how employee generated ideas bring sustainability onsite. The Green-CATs have been engaged in sustainability trainings locally, cascading progress around our sustainability strategy through various platforms, engaging local teams and working on meaningful initiatives.

Out of more than 500 applications across 15 award categories, only four teams received the ‘Highly Commended’ distinction – an honor reserved for entries where judges found it nearly impossible to choose between first and second place due to the narrow margin of excellence.

The Sustainability Team Award recognizes teams that have demonstrated exceptional collaboration and impact in advancing sustainability within their organizations or communities. Judged by a panel of senior sustainability leaders from global companies including Heineken, BAE Systems, TE Connectivity, and Syngenta, Siegwerk’s recognition underscores the strength and dedication of its sustainability efforts.

“This recognition is a testament to the passion and commitment of our Green-CAT team and the broader sustainability community at Siegwerk,” said Disha. “We’re honored to be acknowledged among such inspiring global initiatives.”
