Siegwerk launches Formula 2030

-

Siegwerk has introduced Formula 2030, its strategic agenda guiding the company’s development for the next five years. Siegwerk said it builds on the achievements of the previous strategy New Horizons 2025+ while setting new priorities for the next phase of sustainable and profitable growth. The strategy is designed to further strengthen Siegwerk’s support for customers in addressing evolving market, regulatory and sustainability requirements.

Economic volatility, geopolitical developments and evolving regulatory frameworks continue to shape the global business climate. Formula 2030 is expected to provide the strategic framework to navigate this environment while further strengthening Siegwerk’s position across global markets for packaging inks and coatings. “Formula 2030 reflects our confidence in the path ahead,” said Nicolas Wiedmann, CEO at Siegwerk. “Building on strong foundations, we are raising our ambition for what Siegwerk can achieve globally. With our strategic agenda for the next five years, we reinforce our commitment to responsible business development, customer-focused innovation and long-term value creation in the markets we serve.”

Focus Areas

Formula 2030 will be implemented through targeted initiatives in four key areas – competitiveness, sustainability, digitalization and people. Competitiveness is essential to delivering reliable supply, excellent product performance and attractive cost structures. Through targeted investments in efficiency, automation, and product innovations, Siegwerk plans to strengthen its ability to deliver high-quality solutions while remaining price-competitive in global markets.

Continuing its HorizonNOW sustainability agenda, Siegwerk said it will further embed responsible practices across its entire value chain – from responsible procurement and efficient operations to the development of sustainable ink and coating solutions that support customers, meet technical and regulatory requirements, achieve their own sustainability goals and succeed in the marketplace.

By advancing Siegwerk′s digital infrastructure, integrating value chain processes, and using artificial intelligence, the organization plans to expand its data-driven capabilities. This is expected to enable enhanced digital services for customers, speeding up development times, providing faster and deeper insights and easier access to relevant information.

With deep technical and regulatory expertise, as well as extensive industry experience, the company’s employees provide trusted expert advice and technical support to customers worldwide. This expertise is continuously strengthened to help customers in navigating increasingly complex packaging requirements, Siegwerk said.

Global alignment and regional implementation

According to Siegwerk, while Formula 2030 establishes a global strategic direction, its implementation reflects regional market realities. Customer requirements, competitive dynamics and technological conditions vary on a regional and local level. The strategy therefore combines a clear global roadmap with tailored regional initiatives to ensure flexibility, market proximity and consistent execution across the globe.

At the same time, strong partnerships, and close collaboration along the entire packaging value chain, remain a key element of Siegwerk’s strategic course. These play an essential role in driving innovation, enabling circular packaging solutions and strengthening competitiveness in increasingly complex markets.
