Royal Swinkels and global packaging partner Canpack have extended their collaboration with the launch of the 2025 8.6 Tattoo limited edition.

The 2025 edition of the 8.6 Original 50 cl can features tattoo-inspired artwork designed by tattoo artist Dodie. The artwork reflects the identity of the 8.6 brand and is produced using Canpack’s Quadromix printing technology. This technology enables four different designs to be printed in a single production run, allowing design variety while maintaining production efficiency.

According to Canpack, the project also incorporates premium matt finishes, which enhance the visual impact and depth of the artwork. Close cooperation between Royal Swinkels and Canpack ensured that the creative concept was accurately reproduced on the can, combining artistic intent with advanced printing capabilities.

“The execution is truly a reflection of the collaboration between Royal Swinkels and Canpack, with passion, creativity and precision technology bringing the whole thing to life in a vibrant and distinctive package,” said Afel Amberber, global brand manager at Royal Swinkels.

The 2025 Tattoo Limited Edition builds on the success of previous releases in the series, which have helped strengthen brand visibility through distinctive visual storytelling. Canpack notes that Quadromix technology supports such limited-edition concepts by allowing multiple designs without increasing production complexity.

The collaboration between Royal Swinkels and Canpack has also received industry recognition. Earlier editions of the 8.6 Tattoo series have been awarded Metal Pack of the year: High Volume Food & Beverage at the UK Packaging Awards 2025, highlighting the impact of the partnership within the packaging sector.

“Our long-standing relationship with Royal Swinkels is built on mutual trust and ambition. While the designs are Swinkels’ creation, our role is to make them shine, using innovative technologies like Quadromix to turn bold ideas into award-winning packaging” said Paweł Kawa, graphics innovation manager, Canpack.
