The Rotocontrol DT-340 digital label finishing machine with an integrated Domino N610i label press

Rotocontrol and Domino have partnered to offer label printers and converters expanded capabilities and value-added differentiation in hybrid label printing and finishing. The new inline hybrid solution featuring the Rotocontrol DT-340 digital label finishing machine with an integrated Domino N610i label press will be featured in Rotocontrol’s new headquarters and demo center in Siek, Germany with a grand opening planned for this June. EMT/Rotocontrol in Green Bay, USA will also feature this complete ink jet hybrid finishing press in June at the grand opening of its new demo center.

Features of the N610i in the combined hybrid solution are up to seven colors including opaque white, 600 dpi native print resolution and operating speeds accelerating to 70 m/min (230 ft/min) combining the productivity of flexo printing with the flexibility offered by rapid job change digital technology. Compliance for food packaging is also offered with the new Domino UV95 ink set.

The Rotocontrol DT-340 provides a highly modular machine with multiple die cutting (die stations capable of running full or semi-rotary mode with simple changeover) and printing stations (rotary flexo and flatbed screen printing), lamination, cold foiling, hot stamping, label inspection, small roll programmable auto turret winding and 100% servo control from Bosch Rexroth. An open architecture design provides easy operator access to the web and integrated modules, for increased efficiencies in operation/web handling and movement during production.

“This powerful hybrid configuration takes business to the next level allowing label printers to expand capabilities, make more money, do more for current customers, and gain new customers as well,” said Ralf Zissener, business manager digital printing solutions for Domino Germany. “With virtually unlimited printing and converting options, printers can produce complex labels on a wide range of materials and substrates for maximum flexibility and future-proofed production capabilities.”

“We are pleased to partner with Domino in this next-generation hybrid machine,” said Marco Aengenvoort, Rotocontrol managing director. “This advanced hybrid label printing and finishing system will be the main anchor in our new demo center, to showcase it’s many features and possibilities in live demonstrations. We look forward to opening our new headquarters in June and begin welcoming label printers to Siek.”

Rotocontrol and Domino will also host an open house at Rotocontrol’s new headquarters in Siek to present the new DT-340/N610i hybrid label printing and finishing system. The official date will be announced soon.
