PulPac signs sales partner deal with Correns

-

Swedish packaging tech company PulPac is ready to launch Dry Molded Fiber on the Japanese market. Recently, PulPac signed a deal with Correns Corporation, making the Japanese-based company with German roots their dedicated sales partner in the Japanese market.

Dry Molded Fiber is a game-changing fiber-forming technology invented and licensed by PulPac to replace single-use plastic on a global scale. The technology makes it possible to produce sustainable packaging that’s resource-, energy-, and cost-efficient.

“We have seen the development of this technology since the start, and we are impressed with what PulPac has accomplished in this short time. For Correns Corporation to get in at this stage is amazing. We see a great future for Dry Molded Fiber products as they fit Japanese customer requirements of fast production ramp-up, short cycle time, and small production footprint,” says Tomoaki Miyata, in charge of the Dry Molded Fiber promotion team at Correns Corporation.

Correns Corporation has over 75 years of experience representing European companies in Japan, offering technology leaders, such as PulPac, the opportunity to market and sell their products and services in a way that Japanese customers are used to.

Sanna Fager, PulPac’s chief commercial officer, says this is a strategic opportunity; getting access to the right customer fast is important when establishing yourself in a new market. And partnering with Correns means we hit the ground running. Since they are an established name, they help us find and open doors to new, potential Dry Molded Fiber licensees. We look forward to showcasing PulPac and Dry Molded Fiber at Japan Pack, alongside Correns this October.

Miyata-san sees the potential of this partnership; at Correns, we take climate change and the need for a shift toward sustainability seriously and have installed a separate Dry Molded Fiber promotion team. We see a great future for Dry Molded Fiber products here, on the Japanese market, and we are ready to work diligently to make it successful.
