Among Bobst’s world premiere lines revealed at drupa 2016, the new MW range of CI flexo presses resonated extraordinarily well. Impressed by the concept of the new MW CI press, Publi Grafic Internacional, based in Mexico City, decided to purchase a 900 mm wide MW model, equipped with automatic face-to-face winders and with smartGPS, Bobst’s fully automatic impression and registration setting system. The contract for the new press was signed at drupa, delivery is scheduled for October 2016.

Publi Grafic Internacional relies on over 30 years experience in the graphic arts industry. Investing in leading edge infrastructure and technology and being extremely focused on quality in every phase of its operation has paid off for Publi Grafic Internacional which has undergone a steady growth in the past decades. The company also credits for its success its policy of hiring highly skilled personnel and its customer-centered focus which has enabled it to acquire ISO 9000, HACCP, Disney, Walmart certifications.

“We provide an all-round value added service to our customers beginning with graphic design and artwork preparation through to printing and finishing” explains Fernando Mena, Managing Director at Publi Grafic Internacional “Our production includes amongst others: labels, heath shrinkable sleeves, flexible packaging, promotional articles, mainly serving the domestic market.”

Maximizing the best technologies within a compact and efficient configuration, Bobst MW models, available for print widths of 850 and 1250 mm, have been developed to help flexible packaging manufacturers efficiently produce run lengths from ultra-short to long. At the same time, featuring a unique anti-vibration design including special cylinder bearings and upper and lower guides for the bearings, in conjunction with the largest anilox roll in their class, the MW presses deliver superior print quality at the highest line screens that are possible in flexo.

“We are aware of the continuous evolution of the packaging market and the need of new packaging with improved performance. This is why we decided to acquire the Bobst printing press which will enable us to widen our reach in the market of heat shrinkable sleeves. We are confident that with the leading-edge technology provided by Bobst, we will continue on our path of growth as planned, making our mark in the Mexican market thanks to the way we satisfy the needs of our existing and future customers,” concludes Fernando Mena.
