Delhi-based Paras Printers has established itself as a trusted name in printing stationery, books, and commercial graphics, consistently enhancing its capabilities with a series of Komori presses installed at strategic intervals. The latest being a brand-new Komori Lithrone G37. Paras Printers has so far invested in four Komori presses to constantly boost productivity to new levels.

In the year 2012, Paras Printers invested in its first Komori press – an Enthrone 29. After an interval of three years, the company went for the same model with same specifications. “We continuously invested in Komori presses because we were in need of speeding up deliveries as per our customers’ demands,” says Vijay Jain, proprietor of Paras Printers.

Thereafter, Paras Printers welcomed two more Komori machines, including a new Lithrone G37 in the early part of this year. “We keep expanding our machine portfolio to meet the increasing needs for short-run applications from our customers,” says Jain, adding that the Komori presses are ideal for the task.

Jain continues, “Komori presses currently running in our facility have fast turnaround times and perfectly fit for short-run production. When it comes to producing between 500 and 5000 sheets, we term it ‘short run’ and we use Komori presses for that. For print volume beyond 5000 sheets, we use other presses at our facility where we have also recently added a pre-owned Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 74.”

Since its establishment in1994, Paras Printers has been engaging in multiple tasks. Jain recalls, “In the beginning, we started as stationery supplier in Old Delhi’s Daryaganj, a hub for book publishers in the capital city. After that we expansively engaged in printing with gradual investments in Komori and other presses for constant boost in productivity.”

According to Jain, Paras Printers’ production facility is now fully equipped with Komori presses complemented by other pre-press and post-press equipment. “We have everything in-house under the roof of our production facility to fulfill every bit of requirement of our customers,” he says.

In addition to the advanced Komori and other presses, Paras Printers’ prepress and postpress units are well equipped with highly efficient machines and equipment including six Screen CtP systems, Stahl folder, Welbound paper cutting machine and perfect binder, and many others.

The current clientele of Paras Printers is a mixed bag containing both direct clients and jobbers in a ratio of 50:50. “We segregate our works into commercial and packaging. Nowadays, we are pretty much into carton box printing too. Our current conversion volume is around 50-60 tonnes every month,” says Jain.

With a team of more than 40 well-experienced staff, Paras Printers works round the clock. Jain’s son Kshitiz Jain joined the business in 2012 and is now actively looking after nearly 80% of the company’s overall activities. “Nowadays, timely delivery is the key as customers want it as per their schedules, not ours. That’s why we keep upgrading our facility with the Komori presses to deliver as per the schedules of our customers,” he mentions.

About the next-step plan, Vijay Jain says they are now focussing fully on packaging and UV is the company’s next-level technology. Optimistic about exponential growth in business in the near future, he conclusively mentions that they are targeting to double their current turnover by 2026.
