Nilpeter sells three narrow-web flexo presses at Labelexpo India

During the recently concluded Labelexpo India 2016, Nilpeter sold three FB line narrow web presses. According to Manish Kapoor of Nilpeter India, two narrow web presses were booked by Sai Com Codes, while Homemade Bakers booked one press. Both the companies are based in Sonepat, Haryana.

Sai Com Codes will install two servo-driven Nilpeter FB-3300S flexo presses. While one of these two presses will be installed in Sonepat the other press will be installed in Guwahati. Sai Com Codes’ Sonepat plant houses four label presses. The new press will be its fifth press at the Sonepat plant which is scheduled to be shipped in January 2017. The second press ordered by Sai will be installed at its plant in Guwahati.

For Homemade Bakers, it is the third time that they have invested in a Nilpeter press: the company already runs two Nilpeter presses. The new press will be installed by January 2017.

The 6-color FB-3300S UV-flexo press with short web path features a gravure unit at the last printing unit – a value-adding unit for metallic inks, solids, and coatings; and a new rail-based cross-over unit that can be placed above any printing unit for total flexibility. The press is also equipped with the Corona treater, web cleaner, chill drums on all units, movable cold foil, APPS (Automatic Plate Positioning System), two die slots, and a 100% inspection system. The FB-3300S will produce pressure-sensitive labels with cold foil and metallic gold ink printed in gravure.

This narrow-web press offers a speed of 750 feet per minute and is based on modular flexo technology for easy configuration. The FB-3300 includes screen and hot foil Drop-In features to increase your printing options at a very affordable price; a convenient splicing table with pneumatic hold-down bars; ergonomic slide-out print stations; an easy-to-use operator interface and advanced die-cutting and drying systems.

To date, Nilpeter has installed 60 machines in India. By the end of 2017, Nilpeter India will move into a new three-acre plant in Chennai and will have the capacity to manufacture 30 printing presses. Currently, the company manufactures ten printing presses a year. In addition, Nilpeter India has plans to export presses from the plant to the US and Europe. According to Kapoor, Nilpeter identifies a rise in international demand for machines. Currently, they are exporting their products to Africa and the SAARC countries.
