The Global Rotogravure Association (GRA) is pleased to announce the election of new officers and board members during its 90th Management Meeting, held as part of GRA’s International Gravure Days from 20 to 22 October 2025 in Istanbul, Turkiye.

Simon Sonn of 4 Packaging Africa has been elected as the new President of GRA. He assumes leadership of the association at a time of global expansion and industry transformation. He takes over from Davide Garavaglia, who has provided outstanding leadership as President and will continue to contribute to the association as a member of the Board.

Dr. Marius Wittke, Windmöller & Hölscher, has been elected as Vice-President and Treasurer. He succeeds Max Rid, who has served the association in this position for almost nine years with great dedication and commitment, and who will likewise remain active as a Board member.

Joining the GRA Board as newly elected members are:

  • Kaku Kohli, Kohli Printing and Converting Machines – the first Indian Board Member in the history of the association
  • Mandy Wang, Weinan Zhengqi Printing and Packing Machinery – the first Chinese Board Member in the history of the association

In addition, the following members were re-elected for another three-year term:

  • Martin Pitonak, Chemosvit
  • David Möller, 4Packaging
  • Heiko Engelhardt, Burda Druck
  • Olaf Segbert, Daetwyler Swisstec

The GRA would like to express its sincere gratitude to Davide Garavaglia and Max Rid for their many years of dedicated service in their leading roles. Their contributions have been instrumental in shaping the association’s development and strengthening its global position.
