Naph Graphics, a leading manufacturer of printing machinery, showcased its advanced Naphlexo stack-type flexo printing machine. Speaking about the machine, Harish Bansal, managing director of Naph Graphics, said, “We are displaying a 4-color stack flexo printing machine – Naphlexo. One of our machines has already been running successfully in the market for two years, with a customer in Ludhiana using it for food wrapping paper at a speed of 200 MPM.”

The latest version of the machine comes equipped with several advanced features. “The model showcased at Printpack includes motorized registration, which allows users to pre-register their print job through the HMI console, enhancing precision and efficiency,” he explained.

Bansal emphasized that Naph Graphics prioritizes not just sales but also ensuring that their machines operate efficiently in the market. He pointed out that the Ludhiana-based customer had achieved consistent performance, highlighting the reliability of their technology.

When asked about the applications of the Naphlexo machine, Bansal highlighted its versatility. “This machine is designed for printing on various substrates, including polyester, paper, HDPE, LDPE, BOPP, and more. We have also successfully run polyester on it with reverse printing, and the job can be laminated as well,” he said. The machine can handle a range of materials such as butter paper, chromo art paper, cup stock paper, kraft paper, and label paper, making it a flexible solution for different packaging and labeling needs.

Discussing the future of Naph Graphics in the flexo printing segment, Bansal mentioned that while the company is currently focused on stack flexo technology, it may explore other types of flexo printing technologies in the future. However, he acknowledged the high costs associated with Central Impression (CI) flexo presses. “While the flexo market in India continues to evolve, CI flexo remains a substantial investment. Many applications that require CI flexo can be effectively handled by a stack flexo press, offering a more cost-efficient entry point. Rather than making an immediate transition to CI flexo, customers can begin with stack flexo and scale up as their requirements grow,” he said.

With a mechanical speed of around 200 MPM, the Naphlexo machine has been well received at the exhibition. “We got a very positive response at Printpack,” Bansal concluded.
