A well-known name in the field of web offset press manufacturing, Naph Graphics launched two new machines for the packaging industry at the recently concluded PackPlus 2019 exhibition, Delhi. The two new machines – an inspection rewinding machine, InspectLine 35 and a doctoring rewinding machine, DocLine 35 – will now make for a complete package on the converting side along with Naph’s already existing product SlitLine 35, feels Mohit Bansal of Naph Graphics.

“Since these three products complement each other and make for a complete package, it will now give a new boost to our sales. Earlier while we were selling only one product, we can offer all three products to a customer now,” said Bansal. The company diversified to the packaging and converting industry in 2016 with the launch of its slitter rewinder machine SlitLine 35.

Naph’s DocLine 35 is a compact machine featuring movable unwind station for edge guiding, double-drive and edge trimming. The machine also offers easy loading and uploading of reels. At speeds up to 350 m/min, Docline has a web width of 500 mm and maximum diameter of 600 mm. “The basic function of a doctoring machine is to even out uneven rolls. But in DocLine 35, we have provided added features of doing inspection as well – this is something which is generally not available with other doctoring rewinding machines available in the market today,” said Bansal. “Also, this machine can suit the pharma industry in a big way as we have provided the option for mounting inkjet printer also for variable data printing.”

Talking about the InspectLine 35 inspection rewinding machine, Bansal said that it is a camera-based line guiding system with option for 100% defect detection system. The machine has a rewinder reel diameter of 13,000 mm and has the advantage of shaftless ground lifting of reels.

Both the machines are controlled and supervised by a highly automated system from E+L which maintains tight synchronization among different machine parts and drives, providing fast, reliable, and error-free communication.
