Naph Graphics has launched two machines at the 15th Printpack India exhibition – a center surface type drum slitter rewinder and a stack type flexographic printing machine, Naphlexo804. Naphlexo804 is a bespoke machine that can cater to different segments as per customer requirements. With speeds up to 150 mpm, the machine can handle substrates ranging between 12 and 200 microns and can handle plain, coated and metalized films, foil and paper laminates, paper and board.
A well-known name in the field of web offset press manufacturing, Delhi-NCR-based Naph Graphics diversified to the packaging and converting industry in 2016. The company’s web offset business, which started in 1996, includes exclusively designed web offset presses for printing newspapers and periodicals for medium-sized editions.
“With the launch of the all-new center surface type drum slitter rewinder and the stack type flexographic printing machine, we look forward to setting a new standard in the market. We have been manufacturing cantilever slitter-rewinders for quite some time now. Our customers were demanding a bigger roll diameter since the max roll diameter in cantilever slitter-rewinders is 600 mm. So with the drum slitter, we are trying to fulfill that demand by increasing the roll diameter which now comes in the range of 800 to 1100 mm. We are also planning to increase the speed of the drum slitter. Currently, we have trial run the machine at speeds up to 350 m/min,” said Praveen Kumar, director marketing, Naph Graphics.
At the event, the company also displayed its compact slitter rewinder Slitline45, and doctoring rewinding machine Docline35. Naph’s DocLine 35 is a compact machine featuring a movable unwind station for edge guiding, double-drive and edge trimming. The machine also offers options for easy loading and unloading of reels. At speeds up to 350 m/min, Docline has a web width of 500 mm and a maximum diameter of 600 mm.
Speaking about the exhibition, Kumar said, “We have received a fabulous response at the exhibition. It has been amazing to see our peers, partners and customers from all over the region after two years of virtual meetings. The pandemic has really impacted the way businesses operate and changed the printing and packaging landscape. We are very excited to meet our customers in person and showcase our new launches. We have received several inquiries during the show which we hope to convert to sales in the coming days.”
