Lecta partners with Soprema

-

Lecta Self-Adhesives, known by the Adestor brand name and one of the leading European companies in self-adhesive label materials, welcomes Soprema as a new partner in its Adestor Collect & Recycle program, designed to encourage the collection and recycling of the glassine paper used in self-adhesive labeling applications.

Present in more than 120 countries, Soprema develops solutions for the building industry based on recycled materials. The company integrates glassine paper as a raw material into innovative products such as its bio-sustainable thermal insulation solutions.

The incorporation of Soprema reinforces Adestor’s Collect & Recycle program as an accessible and efficient way of transforming glassine paper –a liner with a thin silicone coating, widely used in adhesive labels – into a high-value resource. The aim is to prevent the material from ending up in landfills or incineration processes, and promote its reuse in new products as part of a circular model.

Within the framework of this partnership, Soprema will collect, transport, and transform the waste, through its patented process, in Cestas (Gironde, France). Lecta Self-Adhesives, in turn, will inform its customers to facilitate access to the service but will not be directly involved in the recycling process.

Companies that sign up to Adestor Collect & Recycle will unlock key benefits to reinforce their own environmental strategies. This includes less waste, with a significant reduction in the volume of glassine paper ending up incinerated or in landfill, and regulatory compliance, in line with the current environmental standards. Further, it will ensure a commitment to sustainability, using transparent practices to enhance their corporate social responsibility and reputation among customers and partners.
