At Printpack India 2025, Konica Minolta Business Solutions India showcased its latest innovations and flagship products. Katsuhisa Asari, managing director of Konica Minolta Business Solutions India, said, “We believe Printpack India offers us a unique opportunity to introduce our innovation and flagship products.” Among the showcased products is the AccurioPress C14010S, a CMYK + white printer set to launch in Q2 of the financial year 2025. “This product is designed to meet the diverse needs of the Indian market,” Asari added.

In addition to the AccurioPress C14010S, Konica Minolta also featured its AL230 label printer. Despite not displaying the AL 400, which includes CMYK plus white capabilities, Konica Minolta highlighted various applications catering to different consumer segments.

Manish Gupta of Konica Minolta emphasized the company’s strategic move into the packaging segment. “In the labels segment, we have already introduced several products, and we are now expanding our offerings in packaging as well,” said Manish Gupta. “One of our key innovations is the KM1 E, and at drupa, we introduced its next-generation model, the KM1 E 30000, which offers higher productivity compared to its predecessor.”

Discussing the packaging segment, Gupta highlighted Konica Minolta’s approach to different packaging applications, including softboard packaging, hardboard packaging, and corrugation. “For soft board packaging, the choice of technology depends on the required media size. Digital laser is commonly used for smaller formats, while for larger formats, we offer the KM1. While this solution is considered entry-level from an application standpoint, it provides an ideal starting point for businesses looking to enter the market,” he explained.

Asari emphasized that Konica Minolta’s goal is not just to provide printing solutions but also to enhance the value of printed products through finishing and embellishment. “We support customers who want to offer premium-quality products by providing finishing and embellishment equipment, helping them maximize the value of their labels and packaging,” he added.

Regarding industry trends, Gupta observed a growing shift towards digital printing. “More traditional offset printers are exploring digital solutions for their in-house applications,” he remarked. “There is significant interest from customers looking to enter the packaging segment, particularly in soft board packaging. Many of these customers are not traditionally from the packaging industry but are now exploring opportunities in this space, with a majority focusing on soft board packaging.”

To support this transition, Konica Minolta has introduced in-line finishing devices that streamline production. “These solutions enable customers to complete jobs efficiently without requiring additional equipment or manpower, which is especially valuable as production requirements evolve,” Gupta explained. “By offering these accessories, we aim to enhance productivity and meet the diverse needs of the packaging industry.”
