At this year’s IndiaCorr Expo, Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems will demonstrate how its cutting machines easily transform creative designs into reality. From 25-27 September, expo visitors will have the chance to see a variety of samples showcasing the advanced capabilities of these digital solutions.

The Kongsberg PCS team will use India’s leading event for the corrugated and protective packaging industry to showcase how the power, performance and accuracy of Kongsberg systems combines with innovative tooling and software to transform sample making and short runs for businesses, without compromising on creativity.

“Our cutting systems are renowned for their reliability and versatility, making a Kongsberg table an invaluable tool for converters,” said Rafiq Shaikh, sales and service leader at Kongsberg PCS. “It enables the production of flawless samples, which not only reduces die costs but also accelerates the approval process for development projects. Over the years, this machine has empowered Indian converters to compete on a global scale by facilitating the creation of innovative samples, thereby enhancing their market presence and driving business growth.

“At this year’s IndiaCorr, we will unveil a showcase of creative samples, designs and innovative packaging to demonstrate some of the fantastic designs the Kongsberg makes possible,” he said.

Rafiq said that with market dynamics shifting, the printed micro fluted corrugation segment is experiencing notable expansion. “This growth is driven by the increasing presence of franchises and the rapid rise of e-commerce, both fuelling a trend toward customized short-run demands. To keep pace with this trend, many converters are upgrading from entry-level machines to reliable, professional Kongsberg systems, which deliver die-like short-run products with impeccable accuracy. Recently, OJI, Velvin, and Globe Print Pack have upgraded to Kongsberg technology to meet these escalating demands and stay competitive in the evolving market.

“Throughout the three-day event, we’ll highlight how our cutting tables address the pain points of today’s packaging converters, combining strength and speed with quick and precise tool movements to enable high-quality digital production under the tightest of deadlines.”

The Kongsberg PCS team will be at stand A28 of the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, Mumbai, showcasing how its range of digital cutting systems and advanced tooling options help packaging converters meet the challenges of today while preparing for the future.

“We’ll also have a series of videos which give visitors the chance to see close-up the precision and power with which our solutions cut, crease and finish a whole range of materials, simplifying and speeding up production,” Rafiq said.
