At the PackPlus 2018 exhibition held at Pragati Maidan from 25 to 28 July, Noida-based Kiran Consultants demonstrated its newly launched loom management module for woven sacks manufacturing units. The new module was well appreciated by visitors for its ease of use and utility. The company also finalized a new order for its FlexiBiz ERP solution at the show.

According to Suresh Bansal, director at Kiran Consultants, the woven sacks module can be fully integrated to any ERP systems. “We have already installed the module at six woven sacks tape and fabric units,” said Bansal.

Bansal shared that the new loom management module can help reduce the existing manual entry job of calculation of the actual production. “Users just need to enter the last reading which is recorded periodically, generally after every two to three hours. Loom readings can be captured by the shift supervisor remotely through a tablet,” Bansal said. “It boosts the efficiency of looms/operators to a great extent and helps to identify downtime as well as inefficient loom operators.”

On the other hand, the company’s FlexiBiz CRM also received encouraging response from different industry visitors at PackPlus who were looking to streamline their marketing and distribution process. “With the FlexiBiz CRM, the marketing and distribution team members of a company can feed information into the CRM on-the-go directly through our mobile app. This changes the way you do business. Users and customers both expect information to be available and updated in real-time, not when you get back to the office,” Bansal explained.

Bansal viewed that the young generation of family-run businesses are starting to play lead roles and not hesitating to try new ideas, technologies and innovations. “Even smaller companies with turnovers not more than 10 crore are willing to implement ERP systems, and the thrust of course is coming mainly from the new generation of the family,” shared Bansal.

Providing ERP and CRM solutions to the packaging industry since 1988, Kiran Consultants has implemented its solutions in many companies in India and nearby countries like Nepal. After PackPlus, the company is getting ready to exhibit its solutions at Indplas 2018 to be held in Kolkata from 30 November to 3 December 2018. “We want to further strengthen our presence in the eastern and north-eastern states, and neighboring countries such as Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Indplas 2018 will be a good platform for this,” said Bansal. In Guwahati, Kiran’s FlexiBiz ERP solution is already running at two companies – Manjushree and DS Group (packaging division) in addition to a few installations in Nepal.
