Kanpur Flexible Packaging Association (KFPA) organized the Packaging Premier league – season 2 (PPL 2) at Green Park International stadium, Kanpur. The cricket league was organized with loads of pomp and grandeur played under the lights. There were four teams namely Royal Strikers, Jaguar Warriors, Kanpur Lions, Royal Warriors all the team members from the fraternity of flexible packaging manufacturers.

The tournament was co-sponsored by DIC India a leading flexo ink manufacturer. In the pursuit of sports uniting all, DIC India was the title sponsor of DIC Smart Ink Man of the Match and DIC Ultralam Man of the Series. The DIC Ultralam Man of the series was Sunny Bhatia. The finals just saw one innings being played due to inclement weather and hence resulted in having joint winners.

DIC Smart Ink is a low odor polyurethane based lamination ink specially formulated for reverse printing on treated BOPP, treated and plain polyester film, nylon, cellophane and polyvinyl acetate film. DIC Ultralam is a vinly-based reverse printing ink specially formulated for printing on polyester film.

Speaking on the occasion Manish Bhatia, MD and CEO DIC India, said, “We are excited to be part of the KFPA PPL- 2 – as said by Nelson Mandela “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. It speaks to youth in a language they understand.” The sportsmanship and the camaraderie can be witnessed here by the passion of each participant.”
