Jawa Printers, based in Karnal, Haryana, has installed a new Komori Enthrone E429 4-color sheetfed offset press. The move is part of the company’s effort to enhance its print capabilities and improve productivity. With the new press, Jawa Printers aims to offer a wider range of applications and better graphic quality, keeping pace with evolving industry demands.

Founded by Gauri Shankar in the year 1989, Jawa Printers has been in the business of commercial printing, working predominantly for clients from the agrochemical industry. The company’s team of 25 skilled and experienced printing and production staff is operating a fleet of best-in-class presses, including the brand new Enthrone E429 and a string of post-press machines and equipment, fulfilling every bit of their clients’ demands. Gauri is joined by his brother Jugal Kishore in the business.

Shankar said, “It had been our firm decision to invest in a brand new Komori press. When our production facility had no brand new Komori machine, we closely associated or tied up with some business partners based in Delhi and NCR, whose facilities are equipped with the latest Komori models.

“There was a turning point that turned out to be a cherished moment for us as it instilled the installation of the brand new Komori press in our production facility. Here goes the story. One fine day, in the year 2015, as part of our routine job of outsourcing some prints to our printing partners in Delhi and NCR, we flagged off a truckload of glossy papers for printing multi-colour calendars at a partner’s production facility in the capital city.

“Do you know what happened? On the very next day, the truck that we sent to Delhi was returned, parked right in front of the gate of our facility, fully loaded with calendars printed in multi colors. With surprise and excitement, we checked the end products, which were perfectly printed and produced on a Komori machine. It was the day our trust in the brand ‘Komori’ was tested and rolled up our sleeves to install the Enthrone E429.”

The Komori Enthrone E429 runs at speeds of up to 13,000 sheets per hour and can handle print sizes up to 20 x 29 inches. It features tools such as Komori PQC (Print Quality Control), Station PCC with CIP3 Connexion, PDM-II, Automatic Make Ready, and Semi-Automatic Plate Mounting. The press is designed to work efficiently across different sheet types and thicknesses, making it a practical choice for short-run jobs and varied printing requirements, while helping maintain steady print quality and output.

“What it has taken into a new move in our business with the brand new Enthrone E429 is not just an overnight transition. Over the years, we have been a loyal user of Komori technology. With the all-new Komori machine now running efficiently in our facility, we are now focusing more on magnifying the value and innovation in flexible packaging solutions and more such applications and activities,” says Gauri.
