Graphica Digital has installed an HP Indigo 12000 HD digital press at its plant in New Delhi to meet the growing demand for innovative B2 size printing. The HP Indigo 12000 HD will allow the company to venture into big-size albums, light packaging in short to medium run lengths, high-end gifting boxes and wedding cards, sheetfed labels, and personalized amateur photo books.

The HP Indigo 12000 digital press features a 5th ink station for white ink and spot colors. According to Graphica Digital, the color accuracy of the press will allow it to strengthen its position in its core business of printing wedding albums across different sizes and specialty printing jobs. The extra color range will allow the company to achieve Pantone emulations, using the only Pantone-licensed 6 and 7 color on-press solutions in digital printing.

Specific brand colors are sometimes outside the gamut of CMYK, which is where HP Indigo is a big advantage. With HP Indigo there is a possibility to mix colors off-press, or Pantone licensed spot colors can also be used and can be matched to any swatch or color sample on specified substrates. This ability is unique to digital print and exclusive to HP Indigo which can be highly leveraged by corporates, brands, marketing agencies in India and around Delhi-NCR at Graphica Digital to satisfy the most color-conscious customers with an accurate, smooth, and consistent look.

HP PrintOS helps customers get the most out of their presses, simplifying and automating production for customers to innovate and grow. Graphica Digital is utilizing this offering to keep a daily track of its production and to monitor the press’ real-time performance. The usage of PrintOS allows the company to monitor its efficiency and mitigate losses if any.

Sanjay Sharma, director, Graphica Digital, said, “We are extremely pleased with our association with HP for over five years and our relationship has grown stronger as the HP installations enable us to deliver high-quality printing solutions to our customers. With the HP Indigo 12000 HD digital press, we are looking forward to reinventing our business and discovering new dimensions. With this new acquisition, we offer a wide range of applications for the photo market like big-size (B2) wedding albums, personalized amateur photo books, gift boxes, and wedding invites. Having the unique capabilities of this digital press in terms of media versatility, production speed, color gamut and growing demand of short-run print jobs, now we can easily fulfill the customer needs for light packaging, sheetfed labels to many start-ups, MSME’s and local clients. This investment reflects our goal to become the first high-quality print service provider in India which has an established world-class digital printing facility and offers world-class products at an affordable price.”

A Appadurai, country manager, Indigo and Inkjet Business Solutions, HP India, said, “Over the last decade, the digital printing industry has undergone a tremendous transformation. With the revolution of HP’s HD digital printing press for photo and commercial printing industry, today our customers are able to innovate and technologically advance their offerings to meet the evolving needs of the market. We are proud to collaborate with Graphica Digital and hope their trust and faith in HP’s digital technology helps them achieve the highest standard of print quality which will be their competitive differentiator.”

According to HP, the HP Indigo 12000 HD digital press is manufactured carbon neutral and offers reduced production waste, a takeback program, and energy efficiency.
