Flexopack opts for two Rotocon Chrome RFP flexo presses

Armenian printer Ginap (factory known as Flexopack) has invested in two Rotocon Chrome RFP flexo presses, and its first press was successfully installed earlier this month.

After a demonstration of the Rotocon Chrome RFP 340 flexo press during drupa 2024, Flexopack general director Manuk Manukyan placed an order on-site. Features of the RFP 340 press include eight printing units, one die cutting station, the latest Bosch Rexroth drive package running 200 mpm, BST auto web guiding, eight LED UV dryer systems, and a cold foil unit. The discussion at drupa 2024 also resulted in Flexopack purchasing a Rotocon ProCut S330 die-cutting machine, a highly effective solution for label finishing.

Following the successful installation of their Chrome RFP 340 press, with installation and training led by Rotocon’s technical sales manager Sachin Sukhlal, Flexopack confirmed a second order for a Chrome RFP 450 flexo press with 10 printing units.

Flexopack’s Chrome RFP 340 press is designed for printing on polyamide sausage casings, utilizing specially developed 395 nm UV LED lamps. The Chrome RFP 450 press is designed for printing in-mould labels, where high printing accuracy is required.

Founded in 2000, Flexopack was the first company to offer flexo printing in Armenia. Since then, Flexopack has led the flexo printing industry, primarily in food packaging, continually advancing with the latest technologies to deliver an optimal balance of quality, productivity, and flexibility. Its advanced printing presses are complemented by post-press equipment for screen printing, hot stamping, and UV varnishing.

“At Flexopack, our goal has always been to offer best-in-class flexo printing in Armenia,” said Manuk Manukyan, general director of Flexopack. “After seeing the Rotocon Chrome RFP 340 press in action at drupa, with its registration accuracy at high running speeds, I knew this press would help us to meet growing demand. With both advanced presses, we can further elevate the quality and versatility of our product offering, ensuring that Flexopack continues to set the high-quality standard in Armenian flexo printing.

“We also greatly appreciate the excellent service provided by Sachin Sukhlal, who ensured a smooth installation and thorough training of our production team, empowering us to fully leverage the capabilities of our new Chrome RFP 340 press.”
