Edale unveils new four-press lineup

Lachlan Buirds, managing director at Edale

Edale has announced it will be refreshing its range of label and folding carton presses to further align its offering with Canon’s portfolio. The refreshed models will adopt a cohesive industrial design that reflects Canon’s sleek, modern aesthetic, helping customers instantly recognize the platform, tier and intended use.

The news, which was teased to the industry ahead of September’s Labelexpo, will see new names for Edale’s existing range – the Edale LabelLine FL4e and LabelLine FL4p for labels, and Edale CartonLine FL6p and CartonLine FL7p for folding cartons. Edale will also introduce clear, customer-friendly performance tiers: Essential (e) – engineered for reliable, day-to-day production and commercial agility, Precision (p) – designed for premium applications, higher volumes and advanced automation.

Lachlan Buirds, managing director at Edale, said, “This is about clarity and capability. With LabelLine FL4e and FL4p, and CartonLine FL6p and FL7p, customers can quickly identify the press that fits their reality today; our Essential range for dependable day-to-day production, or Precision, for when they’re scaling into premium applications, higher volumes and added automation.

“We’ve aligned the look and feel of the machines with those of Canon, and we’ve simplified the story so buyers can navigate requirements with confidence. And under the skin, it’s the same Edale engineering with single-pass efficiency, HD flexo quality and intelligent automation, that helps converters do more with less.”

The Edale LabelLine FL4e is a compact, operator-friendly, 430 mm narrow-web label press for everyday production, ideal for short-to-medium runs with fast changeovers, low waste, and a low learning curve. While the Edale LabelLine FL4p is a high-capability 430–570 mm label press with advanced registration control, optional inline embellishment, and modular upgrades for premium labels at speed.

The Edale CartonLine FL6p is a 600–650 mm single-pass folding carton press that integrates print, varnish, embellishment, die-cutting and stripping inline to reduce WIP, cut lead times and free up floor space. And the Edale CartonLine FL7p is a 760–1000 mm platform for larger-format or higher-volume carton work, combining single-pass efficiency with premium embellishment compatibility and modular growth.

Across the range, Edale’s hallmark technologies remain. In addition, CartonLine configurations can also be specified to run both carton and label work, where businesses want a single line to support both applications.
