Insight Print Communications has completed the installation of India’s first Kodak Trendsetter Q800 W-Speed Autoloader at Dnyanai CTP, a prominent CTP bureau in Pune led by entrepreneur Abhay Pidurkar.

Dnyanai CTP, founded by Pidurkar in 2013, has established itself as a trusted name in the industry, driven by a commitment to quality and reliability. Starting with a Thermal CTP machine at Sadashiv Peth, Pune, the bureau quickly gained market recognition. This success led to the adoption of a Kodak CTP system in 2014, setting the stage for further growth.

With the addition of the Kodak Trendsetter Q800 W-Speed Autoloader, Dnyanai CTP now operates two advanced Kodak CTP systems, reinforcing its reputation for excellence and innovation in the printing industry.

Kodak Trendsetter Q800 W-Speed delivers efficiency, producing up to 66 plates per hour (770×1030) and 125 plates per hour (12×18), significantly enhancing production capacity. Equipped with Kodak’s proprietary Squarespot Technology, the platesetter ensures exceptional accuracy, minimizing remakes and reducing time spent on adjustments. This translates to superior print quality and cost savings, helping Dnyanai CTP deliver outstanding results to its customers consistently.

“In a competitive market like ours, retaining customers is everything. We needed a reliable solution and a dependable service partner, and Insight has been that for us. Our long-standing relationship with them, along with the support and expertise of Raja Kochhar, national product head for Kodak, made the decision an easy one.”

“As the first CTP bureau to install this press, we have reaffirmed our commitment to quality, consistency, and timely delivery – cornerstones of our business,” shared Pidurkar. “We needed equipment that could deliver high speed, exceptional plate quality, and consistency. When I attended drupa to explore advanced technologies, Kodak’s Trendsetter Q800 W-Speed stood out immediately. It was clear that this was the perfect investment to meet our goals.”

The Kodak Trendsetter Platesetter sets a new standard in sustainability and efficiency. Its innovative cooling system reduces power consumption to just 770 watts during imaging—cutting energy use by up to 30% compared to earlier models and up to 90% versus some competitor CTP devices.

Designed with a compact footprint, the platesetter minimizes shipping waste and costs while requiring less space for installation. Additionally, its MCU is up to 65% smaller than conventional MCU solutions, further emphasizing its eco-friendly design. These features make the Kodak Trendsetter one of the most sustainable and efficient CTP solutions on the market today.

“At Insight, we’re committed to helping the print industry move toward more sustainable solutions, and Kodak has been our trusted partner on this journey for over 30 years,” said Mr. Ajay Aggarwal, MD & CEO of Insight Print Communications. “The prepress market is shifting towards faster and more eco-friendly solutions, and Kodak is the perfect partner for this. With over 26,000 Trendsetter installations worldwide, it’s clear just how reliable and innovative Kodak’s technology is.”

The popular Kodak Trendsetter Q800 Platesetter is designed to meet the challenges of today’s business environment. Based on the same trusted technology that printers have depended on for over 30 years, the Trendsetter Platesetter has evolved to help printers adapt and grow. Kodak engineers have added several new features, such as more automation, faster speeds, and significant power savings, that make the latest Trendsetter Platesetters a smart investment for your business.
