DIC India, India’s leading printing inks company for over seven decades and part of DIC Corporation, the world leader in printing ink, is celebrating 75 years of leading in innovation while being part of every Indian’s everyday life.

Over the 75 years, the company’s market share has grown steadily. Constant innovations from DIC India have helped it stay at the forefront and be a standard to look up to for the industry. DIC India has been a partner of choice in the progress of its customers, employees, and supplier partners alike.

Leading news and book publications of India, major local and global brands across segments like food packaging, milk, oil, soap, detergent, bulk packaging bags, and photovoltaic batteries bring their products alive with consumers using DIC inks and adhesives.

From the start in 1947, DIC has taken the lead in developing safe and sustainable inks and adhesives. What began as a small plant in Kolkata for mixing and producing inks in 1947, today it has its presence spread across India with four manufacturing plants in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Noida and further extending its capabilities with the new upcoming state-of-the-art plant in the western part of India.

DIC India is synonymous with ushering innovation through its state-of-the-art research and development center, one of the regional technical hubs in Asia pacific for DIC Corporation.

Over the years, DIC India expanded its product portfolio to fulfill the changing requirements of a growing nation. From its early days, DIC India helped Indians to receive the ultimate news of happiness about India’s independence in 1947 with its news inks, to the introduction of inks for paperboard-based food packaging in the 60s, moving on to flexible based food packaging inks in the 80s, lamination adhesives in 2010, the company has achieved many such rare feats. DIC India has been instrumental in the growth of the Indian ink industry with cutting-edge innovations in product and personnel development.
