DF Inks, the flexible packaging inks division of Druckfarben Group, has launched a dedicated website for converters, brand owners, and industry professionals, offering access to technical expertise, product information, and sustainability resources.
The platform covers the company’s product portfolio, including solvent-based and water-based ink systems, PU Ultima and PUX technologies, UV Ultracure inks, primers, overprint varnishes, barrier coatings, and heat seal lacquers. Information on industry-specific packaging applications and regulatory and sustainability developments is also available. The site also links to the wider Druckfarben Group ecosystem, including its Kraft Paints and Bioclima divisions.
A dedicated sustainability section outlines the group’s approach to recyclability, circular packaging design, and compliance with evolving European legislation, including the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
A newly introduced Troubleshooting Center provides guidance on common printing and converting challenges, covering print defects, color consistency, adhesion, blocking, drying behavior, and process optimization.
Among the site’s features is an Ink Consumption Calculator for flexographic and rotogravure converters. The tool allows users to estimate theoretical ink consumption based on production parameters such as transfer rate, anilox or gravure cylinder engraving parameters, ink coverage, ink density, and ink-to-solvent ratio.
“As packaging requirements continue to evolve, access to reliable information and technical support becomes increasingly important,” said G. Karavasilis, managing director of Druckfarben Group. “The new website has been designed as a resource, bringing together product knowledge, sustainability insights and practical tools in one place.”
