Canpac has acquired Krishna Creation, an Ahmedabad-based folding carton and rigid box packaging manufacturer, expanding its presence in India’s premium packaging segment. Krishna Creation’s clients include Welspun, Renee Cosmetics, Indocount, Damson, and Trident.
As part of the transaction, Canpac and Krishna Creation will jointly set up a greenfield plant in Ahmedabad, the company’s 3rd unit in the city and 10th overall in India. The plant, arriving in September 2026, will house a new KBA 106-7 color coater with UV, alongside an existing Komori 6 color UV press and a range of post-press equipment for rigid paper packaging, folding cartons, and gift bags.
The acquisition extends Canpac’s presence in the specialty, gift, and premium packaging segment. It follows what the company describes as a 15-year expansion from a single plant to ten, and from a regional folding carton player to a diversified packaging platform serving Indian consumer brands.
This is Canpac’s 5th acquisition. The company states it has grown at a 25% CAGR over the last 15 years, scaling from a single regional operation into one of India’s diversified paper packaging platforms.
“This partnership brings together Canpac’s operational scale with Krishna Creation’s design and finishing expertise. This is a step towards the premium and luxury segment of packaging in India,” said Sagar Makhija, M&A head, Canpac Trends.
The two teams will now work together to grow the business, combining Canpac’s scale and process discipline with Krishna Creation’s boutique craftsmanship.
