Baumer hhs highlights its complete systems at interpack 2026

-

At interpack 2026, Baumer hhs will be exhibiting in Hall 18, Stand E07 under the theme – We build systems. Others just components. The company will have various exhibits on display to demonstrate the advantages of its complete systems. They also exemplify Baumer hhs’s broad range of products, which fulfill a number of very diverse purposes in packaging – from hot melt applications in packaging production and end-of-line processing to securing pallet loads. All of these solutions fit seamlessly into Baumer hhs’s sustainability strategy – Rethink. Renew. Recycle. – which is the foundation of all its innovations.

One of this year’s highlights at Baumer hhs’s stand at interpack is a next-generation Xmelt complete system for hot melt applications. Its high energy efficiency, productivity, device reliability, production reliability, and sustainability achieve an unprecedented symbiosis. The innovative system consists of an Xmelt fusion melter, DF hot melt hoses with metal core, and high-end PXH 1000 electric hot melt application heads.

With a low energy input of just 1.6 kW, the Xmelt fusion achieves a 30% higher melt rate, shortening preheating time to less than 20 minutes. “The Xmelt fusion is ready for operation in about half the time as standard tank systems. With this increased availability, our customers can start producing while other melters would still be heating up. Depending on the throughput of their production lines, that translates into some 1,600 packaging products,” says Martin Kotecki, packaging business development manager at Baumer hhs.

The Xmelt fusion boasts several intelligent functions, such as an integrated adhesives database, from which the melter can automatically access basic settings. Also new is the Auto Eco mode. In this mode, the system automatically lowers temperatures during extended interruptions in production, saving an average of 6%. Additional features include automatic detection of connected hot melt hoses and application heads, as well as automated tracking of total operating hours, data the melter uses to proactively recommend maintenance tasks. All of these features support maximum ease-of-operation.

The DF (degradation-free) hot melt hoses with metal core further enhance the high energy efficiency and sustainability of the Xmelt complete solution on exhibit at interpack. They lower energy consumption by some 20% while protecting the adhesives from charring and the filters and nozzles from clogging. The quality of melted adhesives remains at the same high level at all times. What is more, compared to conventional hot melt hoses, the service life of DF hoses with metal core is about three times longer.

The high-end PXH 1000 electric hot melt application head boasts the closing force of a pneumatic dispenser, meaning it guarantees precision cut-off and therefore optimal application of adhesives – even those of high viscosity. Further attributes of the PXH 1000 include durability, longevity (over 1 billion cycles), process stability, savings on adhesive in dot application mode, and minimal maintenance requirements. With all of these advantages, the Xmelt complete system from Baumer hhs is setting new standards in the market.

Further live demos of methods for applying adhesives and reducing their consumption in packaging processes can also be seen at the company’s stand. One highlight here is the Palletizing Solution, which uses hot melt adhesives to secure pallet loads. This easy-to-integrate system can reduce the consumption of plastic film in palletizing by up to 80% while maintaining the same high level of reliability – and significantly improving sustainability in logistics.
