Gandhinagar-based Amba Multiprint has installed a LuxarJet UV inkjet label embellishment system, supplied by Kridwinn Innovations, to strengthen its premium label manufacturing capabilities. The investment is aimed at meeting growing demand for value-added labels across the FMCG, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical segments.

A representative from Amba Multiprint said the decision was guided by the need to differentiate in a competitive market. “For us, the decision of choosing LuxarJet was driven by a clear objective – to stand out in the competitive market while delivering tangible value to our customers,” he said. “We were looking for a solution that could give us a distinctive edge in both digital and flexo printing. LuxarJet stood out for its ability to deliver premium embellishment effects with operational efficiency. It allows us to meet urgent, short-run requirements without compromising on quality, which is exactly what our customers nowadays expect from us.”

LuxarJet is described by the company as a next-generation, single-pass digital platform that integrates digital spot UV varnishing, foiling, and inline lamination into one compact system. Equipped with industrial inkjet heads capable of resolution up to 1200 dpi, the system is said to deliver pinpoint varnish placement, fine-detail reproduction, and uniform coating thickness at speeds of up to 40 m/min. According to the company, its automatic registration control, inline UV curing, and automated workflow reduce manual intervention and enable quick job changeovers.

The system supports a range of substrates and enables raised UV textures, metallic foiling effects, and high-impact visual finishes, according to Amba Multiprint. Its tool-less digital workflow allows on-demand customization and short-run production, while its single-pass architecture is said to reduce setup time, eliminate multiple finishing stages, and accelerate turnaround times. From a business standpoint, the company states the system drives profitability through reduced wastage, elimination of plates and dies, lower inventory costs, and higher margins on value-added labels.

Dinesh Thakur, director – sales and marketing, Kridwinn Innovations, said, “There is a clear shift in the market towards value-added printing. Our solutions are designed to help converters achieve premium results with enhanced operational efficiency and flexibility. LuxarJet at Amba Multiprint reflects how forward-thinking companies are adopting digital embellishment to stay competitive and profitable.”
