Actega to showcase advanced coating solutions at interpack 2026

-

Actega has announced its participation at interpack 2026, one of the packaging industry’s most significant global trade fairs, scheduled to take place from 7–13 May 2026, in Düsseldorf, Germany. The company will exhibit its portfolio of advanced solutions for paper and board packaging at Hall 8A, Stand D59, focusing on addressing evolving market trends, regulatory demands, and the needs of printers, converters, and brand owners.

A key attraction at the Actega stand will be a series of expert-led sessions covering critical regulatory and technical topics shaping the packaging landscape. These concise discussions will offer practical insights into areas such as the German Ink Ordinance (GIO), barrier coating technologies, and the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), helping visitors better understand complex compliance requirements.

Actega will present a comprehensive range of innovations spanning paper and board packaging, flexible packaging, and label applications. Among the highlights are its ACTGreen Barrier Coatings, designed to enhance protection and functionality in recyclable fiber-based packaging while enabling new application possibilities. The company will also showcase coatings for both direct and indirect food contact applications, including its Wessco UV FCM portfolio, which meets stringent regulatory standards, and FoodSafe water-based coatings developed using carefully selected raw materials and validated through external migration testing.

In the label segment, Actega will feature the ACTDigi LEP Primer, a water-based primer developed for HP Indigo 6K, HP Indigo 6K+, and HP Indigo 8K digital presses. The solution is said to enhance print quality, improve water resistance, and ensure strong ink adhesion across a variety of substrates, including coated and uncoated papers.

Visitors will also be introduced to Ecoleaf, Actega’s on-demand metallisation technology for labels. The solution applies metal flakes precisely where required, eliminating the need for PET carrier film and foil, thereby reducing CO₂ emissions and waste while delivering high-quality metallic effects.

Further highlights include Terraflex-F coatings for flexographic preprint and postprint applications on corrugated board, offering a combination of protection, visual appeal, and performance. The company will additionally showcase UV, LED, and water-based coatings capable of delivering a wide range of visual effects such as gloss, matte, and motion, alongside solutions tailored for flexible packaging applications.
