Samir Patkar

Heidelberg Asia Pacific has announced the appointment of Samir Patkar as the new managing director of Heidelberg India, effective 16 October 2018. Patkar replaces Klaus Nielsen who headed Heidelberg India for the past 11 years. Amongst his other achievements over the years, Heidelberg India under Nielsen was able to place the first press based on the company’s new leasing model in Asia, at an Indian printer earlier this year.

Patkar, who has led the Gallus narrow web flexo press business in India for the past decade, has been a part of the Gallus and Heidelberg group for over 17 years. In the past two years he was in a leadership position for the Gallus business in most of Asia Pacific as well as India. Patkar will operate from the Heidelberg India Mumbai office.
