[dropcaps style=’2′]Makoto Nishioka from Japan Printing Machinery Association (JPMA) recently visited the Print-Packaging (P) Ltd. office at Noida and confirmed its participation at PAMEX 2017 to be held from 18-21 December 2017 in Mumbai. The JPMA consists of 105 members, mainly manufacturers and vendors of printing machinery, bookbinding machinery, paper converting machinery and its peripheral equipment.[/dropcaps]

During his visit, Nishioka said, “I’m very optimistic about our (JPMA’s) alliance with All India Master Printer’s Association (AIFMP) and strongly believe that Pamex’17 is the right platform to venture in the Indian print industry.” The larger Japanese companies from the industry have already marked their presence in India but this would be an equally good opportunity for the small and medium companies to participate at PAMEX 2017 and explore the Indian market.

“This would be a great start for co-operation between two associations and we expect much bigger participation from Japan in the coming editions of PAMEX. We would also like to invite PAMEX to have a booth at International Graphic Arts Show – IGAS 2018 in Tokyo to further promote the show and attract larger Japanese participation in upcoming editions of PAMEX,” Nishioka added.

“In India, the Japanese companies are present largely in the prepress and press segment. There are no Japanese manufacturers of postpress and converting equipment here. At AIFMP we will study and identify what kind of Japanese equipment would be suitable for India in this segment,” said Tushar Dhote, chairman, PAMEX.

Sangam Khanna, president, Insight Communication & Print Solutions, who represents Komori in India, Sahil Kulkarni, section manager, Sakura International Japan and Anil Arora, president, Print Packaging.com, the event managers for PAMEX, were also present at the meeting.
