Jindal Films inaugurates new innovation center in Virton

-

Jindal Films, a global leader in the development and manufacture of specialty films for the flexible packaging and labeling markets, inaugurated its new Global Technology Innovation Center in Virton, Belgium on 30 March 2017. Over 200 industry participants from the converting, food, beverage, packaging, machinery and petrochemical sectors attended the event. Guests had an opportunity to see state-of-the-art equipment including a pilot orientation line that provides unique capabilities for introducing new films.

“Jindal Films relies on the 30 years of technical expertise that has been established at this site,” said Serge François, director of the Virton Site. “And, we are counting on this fantastic innovation tool to equip the Films business with new products for decades to come.”

“This Center supports our long-term strategy and reinforces our strong commitment to the packaging industry,“ said Pascale Wautelet, global technology director. “It allows Jindal Films to transition from a BOPP supplier to a packaging solutions provider and to open-up new opportunities, while expanding to new polymers and unlimited film structures. We will be very active in bringing innovation and sustainable solutions to the entire value chain. This new center will inspire our teams and allow us to create and deliver the future of packaging”.
