Brilliant Polymers participated in Propak West Africa 2019 at Landmark Centre, Lagos, Nigeria along with Veepee Industries, its local partner in Nigeria. Held between 17-19 September 2019, the theme this year was ‘Sustainability in manufacturing’. Brilliant Polymers is a leading producer of solvent-based and solvent-free laminating adhesives in India.

With an increasing global shift in plastic waste and responsible packaging, the seminar looked at various ways and steps Nigerian manufactures are taking to help reduce plastic waste as well as new standards being implemented across the public and private sectors. The Summit attracted 4,265 attendees, 141 exhibitors from 32 countries. The 3-day summit had 7 key note sessions, 4 panel sessions and 6 technical sessions.

The continued progress in the agro – processing, packaging, printing and plastics industries in Nigeria gave the perfect opportunity to present innovative product solutions and showcase the latest developments to an audience of manufacturers that are set to capitalize on operating in one of the fastest growing populations in the world.

With increasing public awareness and support of sustainable packaging initiatives around the world, the pace of new developments is gathering momentum. The conference had detailed sessions dedicated to environmental sustainability – the importance of reducing the impact of post consumption waste in Nigeria; Responsible consumption and production strategies to enhance the quality of life – reduce, reuse and recycle.

“Visitors appreciated the knowledge shared on the latest developments in solvent free technology including high performance end uses and versatility across a wide spectrum of laminate constructions. With its promise of technology, quality and service, and local sales and technical support, Brilliant Polymers targets to maintain its leadership position in India while continuing to expand in global markets like Nigeria, where it has a strong presence along with its local partner Veepee Industries,” said Hari Dhuri of Brilliant Polymers.
