Securikett uses partial adhesive as security feature

Securikett, an Austrian manufacturer of high-end security labels, tamper-evident seals, and smart packaging solutions, has developed a partial adhesive coating as a security feature, where the adhesives are not applied over the entire surface but in customer-specific patterns that are not available in standard materials. Custom coating patterns make imitation of security labels difficult.

The partial adhesive coating is developed and produced exclusively according to customer specifications. The adhesives are applied in precisely defined, application-specific patterns that are unique to each customer. Without access to the same coating technology, the material cannot be imitated.

Vanessa Mitterer-Kling, head of the research department, said, “Our partial adhesive coating is a technologically sophisticated, hard-to-access manufacturing process. This is far more than an innovative adhesive solution – this highly effective security feature consistently slows down counterfeiting.”

Securikett said it carries out all production steps in-house, from the base material through silicones to adhesive application. Labels can be combined with hidden or overt security features such as VOID effects, which cause visible changes upon tampering and cannot be reversed. “While conventional label manufacturers merely print on pre-fabricated self-adhesive laminates, we control the entire value chain,” said Vanessa Mitterer-Kling.
