In a significant push for Make In India, Robus India has launched its 100% India-made Instafold folder-gluer with Braille embossing capability at Printpack India 2022. The Robus Instafold is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the pharma and the corrugated industries. Highly efficient, the folder-gluer can produce cartons at speeds up to 450 meters per minute, with very short makereadies and changeover. The folder-gluer is also equipped with functionalities such as clapping device, motorized conveyor, and vacuum feeder and is capable of producing 3, 5, and 7 ply corrugated cartons.

Speaking to The Packman, Deepesh Vishwakarma of Robus India said, “The Instafold folder-gluer is manufactured as per international standards. The folder-gluer is designed to produce straight line, crash lock, double-wall, tapered, conical, bag in box, and more. The machine also has the option for both inline and offline Braille device.”

Robus India manufactures the Instafold folder-gluer entirely at its own plant, leveraging its expertise and R&D. Viswakarma said, “Thanks to our R&D team, we have been able to add new features to our machines which help reduce job change over time of our customers. People who were earlier losing 40% of their production time in job changeover are now spending only 10% of their production time in job changeover.

Robus India doesn’t have a large sales team but has a sizeable service team and achieves more than 80% of its orders from word-of-mouth references from existing customers, added Viswakarma. The company has already bagged multiple orders for the machine.
