The 2026 edition of Pamex opened in Mumbai on 27 January 2026, bringing together the Indian printing and allied industries for four days of technology demonstrations, business networking and sector-wide engagement at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.
Organized by the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) in partnership with Print-Packaging.com, the exhibition runs until 30 January. Spread across more than 15,000 square metres, the show features over 300 exhibitors from India and international markets, representing every major segment of the print and packaging ecosystem.
The opening ceremony was attended by leading figures from the industry, including Ramesh Kejriwal of Parksons Packaging, Rajendra Jain of Vijayshri Packaging, Lokesh Agarwal from Miracle Offset, Gautam Agarwal of Ansapack, and Khushru Patel of Jak Printers, along with senior representatives of AIFMP and members of the organising team.
In his address, AIFMP President C Janardhan Reddy highlighted Pamex’s role as an industry connector rather than just a product showcase. He said the exhibition has evolved into a platform where Indian printers engage with global technologies and where traditional practices intersect with digital transformation.
Reddy noted that the exhibition continues to strengthen cooperation across the value chain, bringing printers, converters, suppliers and solution providers into a common space. He described the event as a reflection of the industry’s shared ambition to grow, modernize and compete on a global stage.
He also spoke about AIFMP’s efforts to widen industry participation, particularly among MSMEs and printers based outside major metros. According to him, the federation is working closely with regional associations to encourage involvement from tier-two and tier-three cities, ensuring broader representation at national platforms like Pamex.
Providing an update on infrastructure development, Reddy announced progress on the AIFMP Bhawan and the upcoming Research and Training Centre for Graphic Communication at IMT Manesar. The facility is planned to include training classrooms, testing laboratories for paper, ink and colour, a library and an auditorium. The centre, he said, will support skill development and help prepare the next generation of professionals for the printing and graphic communication sector.
Reddy also acknowledged the strong international presence at the event, with delegates from 27 countries and a visiting group of printers from Sri Lanka. He expressed appreciation for the efforts of the organizing team, led by Anil Arora, in delivering a large-scale, professionally managed exhibition.
Speaking earlier, Tushar Dhote, Chairperson of Pamex 2026, said the show had been built around the theme Future in Focus, reflecting the industry’s shift toward smarter and more responsible production. He said that after phases of offset dominance, digital growth and automation, the next chapter for print must integrate innovation with environmental accountability.
According to Dhote, Pamex 2026 demonstrates how intelligent systems, automation and efficient workflows can support higher productivity while also reducing waste, lowering energy use and improving sustainability across print operations.
He concluded by stating that the print industry is not simply adapting to change but actively shaping the future through technology, intelligence and sustainable practices.
