During PlastFocus 2024, Naph Graphics showcased its Slitline 60 DTR dual turret slitter rewinder through live demonstrations. The Slitline 60 DTR is equipped with shaftless unwind and rewind features, ensuring optimal efficiency and reducing downtime to just 23 to 25 seconds – a remarkable feat in the fast-paced world of converting and packaging.

During the demonstration, Mohit Bansal, director sales at Naph Graphics, emphasized the remarkable speed capabilities of the Slitline 60 DTR, with an impressive operating speed of 600 meters per minute. As the machine sprang into action at the event, the audience witnessed the swift splicing of the web and the commencement of production within a mere 10 to 15 seconds. “This swift turnaround minimizes production downtime, enabling operators to achieve nearly double the output compared to conventional cantilever systems,” Bansal said.

Naph Graphics, a company with three decades of experience, specializes in the production of web offset printing machines. About six years back, it diversified into the converting segment, introducing slitter-rewinders to its product line. Since establishing the converting division in August 2016, Naph Graphics has rapidly solidified its position, witnessing widespread slitter-rewinder installations across various Indian regions including Kanpur, Delhi NCR, Greater Noida, Noida, Narela Bhavana, Rai, Gujarat, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Raipur, and Bangalore. Bansal highlighted the converting segment’s substantial market reception, with over 40 slitter rewinders sold since its inception.

“Our web offset division has an impressive presence both domestically and internationally, with over 400 web offset printing units in operation across India and approximately 200 units globally. Our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction has earned us a loyal clientele, a testament to the reliability and performance of our products.”

Addressing concerns about service and maintenance, Bansal emphasized Naph Graphics’ strong commitment to prompt responses and efficient resolution of queries. “With a customer-centric approach, we prioritize quick troubleshooting and dispatch of necessary parts, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations,” said Bansal.

In a market teeming with competitors, Bansal emphasized Naph Graphics’ distinct advantage in offering highly competitive pricing without compromising on quality. “This strategic positioning makes our solutions accessible to mid-segment converting units, empowering them to enhance productivity and expand their operations,” Bansal said.

Reflecting on the challenges posed by competitors, particularly European and Chinese manufacturers, Bansal maintained a pragmatic outlook, emphasizing the diverse needs and preferences within the industry. From budget-conscious consumers opting for Chinese machines to those seeking advanced automation solutions, Bansal believes that each manufacturer has a unique clientele base, fostering a harmonious coexistence within the market.

As the interview drew to a close, Bansal’s optimism and forward-thinking approach were palpable. His parting words resonated with a sense of gratitude and confidence, encapsulating Naph Graphics’ ethos of innovation and customer satisfaction.
