Ahmedabad-based Mannat demonstrated its packaging- and printing-specific ERP solution at the recently concluded PrintPack India 2019 exhibition. “We started developing the ERP solution in 2012 and the beta version was ready in 2015. Saptagiri Packaging, Silvassa and Manohar Packaging, Goa were our two initial customers who installed the beta version. Today we have more than 32 clients across India – all installed in less than three years,” said Brijesh Puri, managing partner, Mannat.
According to Puri, the ERP is suitable for commercial printers, folding cartons manufacturers as well as flexible printing products manufacturers and digital printers. Some of the key customers of Mannat are Creative Print and Pack, Hyderabad; Manohar Packaging, Goa; Nebula Home Products, Goa; Nimbus Packaging, Vapi; Orange Printers, Trivandrum; Paramount Packaging, Mumbai; Saptagiri Packaging, Silvassa, Sukee Print Pack, Bangalore; Vijayshri Packaging, Indore; Wee Pac, Surat; Wikas Printing and Packaging, Nashik; and Dimple Packaging, Ludhiana.
“With different challenges the printing and packaging industry face, managers need to have a complete view of the business even when they are on the move. Mannat is a web based solution. So you can access it even if you are traveling,” said Puri. He shared that some of the major challenges for print and packaging firms today are: maximizing economies-to-scale, highest machine allocation and waste control.
Industries that Mannat caters to include commercial and digital printing, folding cartons (mono, fluted and liner), labels, lamitubes, laminates, shrink sleeve and rigid box. Puri shared that the company currently employs 20 employees including 14 developers and four back-end executives to provide round-the-clock support to its customers.
